East Pacific Trade was founded in 2019 by Jai Baek in Seoul, South Korea, following years of designing footwear for brands such as DC, HUF, Creative Recreation, and Gourmet. The project began with a simple intention: to create well-built, comfortable shoes that reflect how people actually move through daily life. Rather than chasing trends or relying on loud branding, East Pacific Trade focuses on clean design, thoughtful construction, and understated character rooted in street culture.

The name reflects both origin and connection—linking cities like Seoul, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and New York through a shared rhythm of design, culture, and movement. East Pacific Trade exists within that exchange, where ideas travel and evolve. The result is footwear that feels purposeful and grounded—quietly confident, built to last, and made for everyday wear.
